Beach Cleans on Koh Samui
Everything you can join on Koh Samui
Runs, boats, bands, gyms, rescues, and the people who'll actually show you the island. The residents' Koh Samui, not the visitors' one. Nothing here is for sale. No bookings, no commissions, no featured listings, just what to join and how to walk in.

How much are you signing up for?
Three honest levels of commitment, from a single drop-in session to something that only makes sense once you've actually moved here.
- Drop in
- Turn up once, no commitment, no gear to own, no season to join, just show up when the session runs.
- Commit
- A season, a course, a weekly slot, worth learning the etiquette and turning up on time for.
- Live here
- Only makes sense if you're staying long enough for a boat, a board, or a bandmate to matter.

What actually recurs, week to week
A small grid of the sessions we could trace to an actual source, not a full calendar. Most of what people turn up to here never gets written down.

checked 2026-09-13 · Only sessions that could be traced to a source are listed here. Koh Samui runs on informal arrangement rather than published timetables, so most of what people actually turn up to leaves no public record we can verify. An empty day means we could not confirm anything, not that nothing happens.
Our rules
How this hub works
The rules we hold ourselves to
- Nothing here is for sale
- No ads, no bookings, no affiliate links, no commission, and no featured listings. We tell you what to join and how to walk in, what you do next is between you and the people you meet.
- We name businesses, not people
- We name registered operators with a public website, the way our guides already do for gyms and dive shops. We never name a private individual, and we never publish a personal phone number or Line ID.
- Some of this can hurt you
- Freediving, kitesurfing, scuba, Muay Thai, and riding a motorbike can injure or kill you. Wherever a page covers one, it states plainly what certification and supervision you actually need before you start.
- Dates and prices go stale
- Any page naming a weekly meetup, a class time, or a price carries the date we last checked it, so you can judge for yourself whether it's still worth trusting.
FAQ
Before you dive in
Questions before you join
How is this different from the travel guides?
Our guides answer what to buy and where to stay for a trip. Island Life answers what you can join once you're here, the run clubs, the bands, the boat crews, the volunteer shifts, and nobody is selling you anything on these pages.
Can I join as a visitor, or do I need to live here?
Most of what's here welcomes a visitor who turns up once, tagged drop-in. A few pages only make sense if you're staying months, tagged live-here, and we say so plainly on each one.
Does anything on this site cost money?
The site itself never charges you and never earns anything from what it lists. Some activities and lessons cost money to the businesses that run them, and we say roughly what, but we take no cut of it.
How current is this information?
Every page naming a recurring session, class time, or price carries the date we last checked it, and we recheck it on a rolling schedule, so an old date is your signal to verify before you go.
Something here has changed, how do I tell you?
Use the contact link in the site footer and tell us what changed and where you saw it. We'd rather hear about a stale meeting time than let it sit there misleading someone.
