Cooking classes on Koh Samui come in two styles: a market tour followed by cooking in a school kitchen, or cooking at a garden or farm. Start times cluster around late morning or mid-afternoon, and most schools teach three to four dishes. When running, the class is 10:30 to 14:30, Monday to Saturday, for up to 13 guests. It covers 4 recipes, a herbal drink and a Thai dessert. There is no market visit: a walk through the organic garden replaces it.
